Job Description:

  • Primary responsibility of this position is installation onsite of low voltage cabling consisting of copper and fiber-based products. Installation of hardware such as racks, cable tray, conduit. Mounting equipment, installing cameras, terminating fiber, fusion splicing fiber. Testing and adherence to all applicable standards. Demonstrating performance of installed cabling systems. Working with a BICSI RCDD to design and implement high end communications solutions.
  • Secondary responsibilities will include anything else that’s asked of you. If you’re above taking out the trash or cleaning a bathroom then you need not apply. Our company culture is such that we are all in this together and we are all responsible to do whatever it takes. No passing the buck here.

General Skills and Qualifications:

  • The ability to get along with varying personality types is a must.
  • Must have the ability to work with a wide range of companies in varying industries with the understanding they are all equally important to us as clients.
  • Troubleshooting abilities and communication skills need to be part of your DNA or basic character traits of yours to work with here and succeeded.
  • Must be Physically Fit and able to do manual labor as required.
  • An ability to work within environments that can range from high stress to laid back.
  • Preferably industry certifications, or equivalent experience
  • Must be a local candidate and be available for hire within two weeks or less.
  • Must have a valid driver license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Company drug screen and background check are required

Technical Skills:

  • Technical Problem-Solving Skills
  • Demonstratable experience/knowledge of working with and installing low voltage cablin
  • Basic Network Troubleshooting Skills with LAN, WAN and Internet Connectivity
  • Understanding of 802.11 Wireless operability
  • Desktop software such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Preferred Experience working in the construction industry
  • Computer usage skills and basic networking experience preferred
  • 12 to 24 months experience working in the same or similar type of position and/or apprentice program, or the ability to prove technical competence
