What are POE and VLAN?
Power over Ethernet (PoE) is a technology for wired Ethernet LANs (local area networks) that allows the electrical current necessary for the operation of each device to be carried by the data cables rather than by power cords.
VLAN is a network of computers that behave as if they are connected to the same wire even though they may be physically located on different segments of a LAN. They are configured through software, which makes them flexible. Your computer may be moved to another location, but it would still be on the same VLAN without doing any hardware configuration.
